Call for AGM Workshops

Proposals are invited from members and individuals who would like to deliver a workshop at our Annual General Meeting taking place in Torino, Italy, in October.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is where our members from across Europe gather each year to network, share experiences, vote on key issues, decide on the future direction of the organisation, and to socialise with friends and colleagues. This year, the AGM is hosted by Torino Pride in Torino, Italy, from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 October.

The AGM agenda includes several spaces for workshops hosted by member organisations, individuals or groups. These can be on any topic relevant to Pride organisations in Europe. In 2022, this might include the climate emergency, tackling racism, sponsorship ethics, organisational recovery from the pandemic, or organising dual events in person and online. These are just suggestions, and no topic is off the table. Workshops can be as formal or as informal as the host wishes; they can take the form of training, a discussion, or simply sharing an experience.

Workshop sessions typically last for one hour, and take place in a room at the conference hotel. Seating, tables, a projector and screen, and flipchart and pens are provided. Attendee numbers vary as AGM delegates are free to choose to attend as many or as few workshops as they wish.

All workshops should be inclusive of all sections of the community, except where there is a clear case for an exclusion to be made, such as a specific workshop for People of Colour. We use English language as the standard for the AGM.

Workshop hosts are required to register and pay for the AGM. Solidarity Fund applications can be made.
