Prides’ contingency planning for Coronavirus / COVID-19 impact

5 March 2020

The European Pride Organisers Association is working with its members and partners to help the Pride movement prepare for the potential impact of the continuing outbreak of Coronavirus / COVID-19.

Whilst no Pride events have yet been postponed or cancelled, the increasing spread of the virus is leading governments, health authorities and international agencies to recommend various actions to prevent transmission. This includes the cancellation of mass gathering events.

Together with our international partner InterPride, we are hosting a webinar to help our member organisations understand contingency planning and how they can protect their volunteers, visitors to their events, and the sustainability of their organisation through what will undoubtedly be a difficult summer.

We have also published links to specific advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Further information can be found on our Coronavirus / COVID-19 page.
